I've been studing english for 2.5 years. all of my english classes has been in ILI.
I learn english mainly beause of TOEFL exam. I want to take a TOEFL exam in next 2 years.
In my opinion your method of teaching is the best for me beacuse you try diffrent materials to learn english in ways that native speakers use.
Thanks

It's about 3.5 years i'm studyng in ILI and i'm tired of coming ILI because of this long period.
I think I had to quit ILI after high 3 and went to a class which mainly emphsizes on speaking. In ILI there are a few teachers who emphsize on speaking(among those i have class with).I think only you and Mr. bahasadri do this and for me other ILI classes are realy boring and I'm realy happy to have the last class in ILI with you.
Thanks

Dear Mr. Khaksar
I heard from my friends, Jubin and Mohamad Reza, in your Advanced3 class that you have started a blog for English.
I came here to thank you for your advices and help with my TOEFL exam, in the iBT class. I just wanted to mention some points about the writing and speaking part in the TOEFL exam that some other may use these.
First, I figured out in the speaking parts the test takers must just answer the question, for example, in the third and fourth parts the test taker should usually just summarize the listening part.
And second, in the integrated writing part, the test taker must combine the listening and reading part. They usually put three points in the both reading and listening part; the test taker should just mention the points, each point in one paragraph. He/she should write down the points of listening (or reading) then should say how the reading part relates to the listening part. for example, whether it contradicts or confirms the point in the passage, like "Delta Book".
I did these, and your advices in the other parts of speaking and writing, and could get a good score in the TOEFL exam; hope this helps others.

Mr.KhakDear sar

My name is mansour and I'm your student in lpt1 here at the ILI.I've been studying English since 85 from pre1.I'm 44 rather 45 years old and am a rubber mold maker in a private company.Actually I study English just because of my interest not for its certificate and I believe it's not important, let's say it doesn't make any differece how hard one trys studying a foreign language but the most important fact is to be able to communicate through this language either with a native speaker or with other foreigners. Some students think just taking a course, passing the exams, and finishing the toefl levels is enough to learn English.Without taking it into cosideration that what helps them speak or understand is not their grades but thier skills, their ability to use the words they've learned up to now.A problem which I've recognized about most of the students at the ILI is that they either work or are university students,so they don't have enough time to study the material tought in the class. The just memorize the words not khowing thier meanings and usages, copy the assignments and hand it to the teacher. They don't practice the lessons during the term, the words and grammar details accumulate and pile up in the end of each term, and in the final exam they see many new vocabs which are in fact not new but are those they've not payed attention to.Of course if somebody wants to learn a secound language he should try hard, practice enough, talk and write a lot, listen to the radio and watch movies, and spend a grate amount of time to manage this task. All these together enable a person to learn well enough. On the other hand I don't approve the method trough which we are learning English at the ILI,because the amount of the materials copared with the time spent on them is too much. And the time one has the chance to show his skills is too short. In a class with 24,25 students and almost 90 minutes one can take less than one or two minutes to speak in the class. And how a teacher can evaluate all those student's abilities I don't know. The ILI focuses mainly on grammar and vocabs most of which are technical and unnecessary are we are not going to use them in every day's coversations. We see people studying in high and even advanced classes still unable to talk correctly and with few mistakes let alone without mistake for 4,5 minutes. They can not write a grammatically correct by the use of proper word either.Actually I don't think I'm an exception.Travelling abroad or meeting foreigners I see I'm not able to manage to speak fluently. After studying for years,I think it shoudn't be so.To put it in a nutshell I think both student and the ILI should think of a practical solution to improve the quality of the education,to find a way through which the students learn English properly. At the end I'd like to tkank the ILI and all the teachers who have tought me even one single word. And I hope you'll forgive me for my mistakeful, incoherent comment.

Best regards.
Mansour

Hi
I'm 27 years old, I'm a network administrator.I have been studying English for 4 years in ILI but to be honest I think my english isn't as good as it must be.

This term I'm in pre Tofel 1 and next term I'll be in pre Tofel 2, I prepare myself for IBT Tofel test.

ILI?! Studying in a good Institute is not enough, you yourself should try hard to improve your english. Here in ILI I found their methoud of teaching english is old and boring and the same story about the books they use for teaching. But this is just my idea maybe you find sudying in ILI is interesting.

Are you studying ...: Yes. Although I'm at level Ad. 1 but there is no end for learning specially for English.

ILI classes meets my expectation but I myself should be more active to use the language.

I've passed two courses with you. One level absent fail and the other one passed! And I wish to take another class with you. Because I love your method. You speak about every useful subjects that are better than our books units. Really.

I firmly believe in ILI system of teaching.

My first reason is knowledgeable and experienced teachers, considering the fact that most of them have studied abroad.

Then I adore this system because there were strict rules in ILI, just like a school.

And finally I believe in this system because I witnessed my improvement after completing each semester.

Now I am attending IBT classes and I am learning so much from these classes too.

I thinks ILI system still does depend on the teachers, so according to your teacher you might have a good or bad term.
And besides that, it's a little long the whole thing. It's 3 years and it was better if people had an option to do it faster.
I think it's better if the ILI give you a degree or something when you finished. I myself failed in AD3 mostly because I had no motivation for that.
And I appreciate you caring enough to start this blog, thanks.

Hello Mr.khaksari,
My name is Navid Abazari im 20 years old & im university student my education Course is Mechanical Engineering B.S ,today was my first class with you in this semester im in level AD1 & i had started learning english when i was child at the kindergarten with the method of Simin institute after many years i enrolled ILI institute at the age of 15 (in 1384/2005) and i had one semester off because of my entrance university exam,by the way i think ILI meets my expectations as i feel that, but it doesn't meet a 100% of my expectations as its the fact that says:"nothing is utterly good but everything can be ideal." ,which i believe,i think ILI is ideal for me though it should be improved in methods,at the end im glad to have class with you in ILI institute.

have a nice life

my name is Amir Jafarinejad, and I am the student of EL3,I've started learning English from last year.I'm 25
I think ILI meets our expectations of everything but speaking! I see some students who finish the course in ILI that can read and write well, know the meaning of alot of words, but can't speak fluently and even can't understand the whole sentences and words exactly, when a native English speaker is speaking.
I think there shoud be more items for speaking and listening.

hi dear teacher
I am motamedkian 34 years old , a government employee , and now i'm studying pt1.reading . i started learning english at ILI since 1384 and now i am as interested as before to learn more english language, how ever there are lots of reasons for being succeed in learning english but in the case of ILI , i think the most important question is that how could we underestand a passage so easily and be prepared for advanced exams for education levels as we needed in the country.
i like to study english to learn a foreign langulage , it's obvios why: for me knowing another language is so helpful to improve my knowlede feild in the major i've been studying , and how ??? this is still my query . as a teacher you may say it's your fault , first i accept it but i think the schedule that an institute offers for lernners is highly related to my lost respons.
i'm so glad to see a teacher is interested to statistics related to learning and it's feilds, and as a token of my appreciation for this , i want to say thankyou dear teacher.
have a nice day

Before I come to ILI, I was studying English at school and university.
I have been in ILI since the fall of 1388. I want to improve my skills in English to take the IBT exam, but for me the most difficult part in IBT is speaking exam, so I have come to ILI and register for basic conversation classes. I have learned many things even grammatical points in these conversation classes. And I appreciate you (Mr.Khaksar) for these valuable things you have learned to me. And the class itself motivates and encourages me because I interact with other students who interested in English learning. And talking with them is very useful, informative, and fun. If I want to leave ILI then I will say the reasons. But at the present I don’t have any reason to leave ILI.

Dear Mr. Khaksar;
First of all, let me thank you for give us the chance to investigate the ILI system in your weblog.
I think ILI assigned books have a good system to learn all of skills we need, but teachers don't care to this matter and they do whatever they want.
In my opinion, the way in which ILI management can help students to speak English very well after graduation is to read all materials in the both books & their answers and even the vocabularies and their explenations & examples then record them on CD (or DVD) and sell tem to students each term. It is useful because every student can listen to them improve their listening and finally check their answer orally.
Best regards
One of your students

Hello Mr.Khaksar...
I know it would be too much of a better humble pie not to be extremely aggresive toward u since the begining of the term...but AS you know,my energy or somehow my recklessness about things going on around me mostly makes me lose some temper,& as a result,it boils down to irreverence.
to tell you the truth,I'm not that type to retreat from my idea in public,so I'd rather have confessed here!but Sir I'm not that rude or compulsively sensitive; what I just wrote is exactly what I've been trying to get u across for a month & a half!!!
And I want you to know that u're my idol in some aspects of language.
I hope u'll find out how worthy you are to me after reading this ESSAY!!
thank u for your dedication, since it's what made you a real character & a role model.
G.Bye
